“I don’t understand what the big deal is; she’s a nobody,” the New York Post quoted a deputy at Century Regional Detention Center, as saying. “She’s got sheriffs bringing her food. This was unbelievable.”
What’s more? When Hilton was out of the slammer after serving time, roads and streets were blocked, expecting her return.
You know, girlfriend was in a serious rush home to spend 3 hours in a chair getting new tracks put in for her brand spankin’ new 20″ blonde extensions.

I saw the interview with Ryan Seacrest and inmates said she bought them all extra toiletries (shampoo, soap, lotion) and food (lunches and snacks) … basically extra commissary items… sooooo.. (I HATE TO DEFEND HER) maybe that’s where all the extra purchases are coming from.
And I think we all know that if “something” were to happen to the heiress in jail the city of LA would be wrapped up in so much legalities.. they probably thought it better to bring her food and keep her “safe” than risk dealing with the lawsuits to follow.
