My2Cents, where did you go to law school? The states rights argument has been used for years to decide such things as integration and civil rights. If I’m not mistaken the argument was used to prevent blacks from getting the right to vote in the South for almost a 100 years. In this case, giving states the power to decide is a trap to eventually abolish abortion completely even in cases of rape and incest. Read the GOP platform, because the abolition of abortion was on their plank and it was described as the most pro-life platform in GOP history. It’s fine if that’s what they believe but they shouldn’t run from what that means. If you live in a state with a powerful right wing then women and girls would lose their right to choose. We received money from government twice during Bush administration, last time, this year, it helped us to pay for car repairs that would go on credit card otherwise.
