Microsoft is yanking its TV ads featuring former funnyman Jerry Seinfeld and Microsoft’s co-founder and chairman Bill Gates.
The ads have been largely panned as a sad attempt on the software giant’s part to portray Microsoft as cool and in touch with regular consumers. In other words, to counter those hilarious “Mac Guy’ commercials.
Perhaps using a comedian who was famous in the 90s was not the best idea. Nonetheless, Jerry gets to keep the $10 million check he was paid to shoot the ad.

I saw that ad and it was really crappy and absolutley not funny. In fact Jerry Seinfeld is NOT funny unless he has the rest of his cast with him from Seinfeld..

Yeah,the ads sucked.You have to have a very “DRY” sense of humor to find those ads remotely funny.
I don’t have a dry sense of humor and liked them. I knew what and what not to expect, and belly hurting laughs was in the not column. In my opinion, we’re so used to stupid posing as comedy and an ever growing shorter and shorter attention span that if something doesn’t connect quick fast and right now, it’s dumped like trash “even if it’s probably not trash.”
I just didn’t get it. Maybe I’m just slow……. I wasn’t expecting anything out of it, except that commercials are supposed to make you interested in the product. It just made me change the channel.
Has anyone seen the new Vista Microsoft commercials… Saying that it is something else.. But at the end that it is Vista!!
That one is better than this one..
