Brad Pitt’s charitable heart (and wallet!) know no boundaries.
The philanthropic star announced today he’s donating $100 000 to fight California’s Proposition 8, a November ballot initiative that would eliminate same-sex couples’ right to marry.
Says Brad in a just-released statement: “Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn’t harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8.”
This marks the largest donation thus far to the anti-Prop. 8 campaign.

Sorry, but when you get paid 20 million dollars to pretend to be someone else in movie after movie, it doesn’t make giving away a hundred grand all that big of a deal.
I agree with Brad 100%. Everyone should be allowed to live their life without any government agency intervening.

flat out the same sex bill is discrimination against poly amorous groups who love each other equally as much as gays.

I know you think you’ve got him on some logical fallacy, TAI, but the rest of Brad’s sentence is important. You haven’t caught him in some logical inconsistency here.

Maybe this donation to such a worthwhile cause will get some of the other big Hollywood stars to open up their wallets. Most of them seem so cheap compared to Brad and Angelina. Thankfully, when this current generation of haters against their fellow man dies off, the next ones coming up are going to be very much more tolerant and accepting. 50 years from now will make now seem like the middle ages.

Good for Brad for doing this and for speaking about this. Hope other actors and people in the industry will be doing the same.
He had to “announce”his donation? To get a little self-promotion? God, can’t he just support a good thing and quietly donate? Always the ‘me’ first…..

Never mind other celebrities. Just any regular human beings. Base on percentage of your own income , how much do you actually donate? I heard he’s Gay so that’s why he’s doing this good for him i’m glad he’s out of closet now , good for him now i’m curious who’s the guy?.
