HarperCollins Publishers just announced that it has acquired world rights to The Carrie Diaries by Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell.
The book promises to take readers back to Carrie Bradshaw’s high school years, giving an inside look at Carrie’s friendships, romances, and how she realized her dream of becoming a writer. It will be Bushnell’s first teen novel. And it was a two-book deal.
The first book is slated to be out in fall 2010.

Definitely not Ashley Tisdale…she is just too fugly!!
I think if they do a movie they should pick an unknown actress because these girls are already super famous and they wouldn’t bring any originality.
I wasn’t too impressed with the movie and I think they should just let the series rest. It was great on HBO and thats about it.
I am watching the movie right now on my laptop at work… haven’t seen it yet and wouldn’t let anyone tell me anything.. so far, it’s great… to be continued…..

i agree with sher. i actually thought of hillary duff when i thought of carrie as a teen. dunno why. just think hilary fits the part.
