SCAR.JO IS AN ACTRESS WITH A MESSAGE

Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson are featured in a series of print PSAs encouraging cell phone recycling.

The campaign, which starts Friday, is sponsored by the Environmental Media Association and Lionsgate studio and coincides with the December 25 release of the action drama The Spirit, starring the two actresses.

The goal of EMA is to lower the amount of carbon dioxide emissions created by the production of new phones.

The advert will begin running Friday.

The good deeds don’t stop there for Scar.Jo. She’s just returned Stateside following a four-day visit to Rwanda, where she visited AIDS clinics with (RED), the organization which aims to raise money for women and children affected by AIDS in Africa.

I think it’s bullshit that these celebs make a trip to Africa once a year and get all this cred for it. Just another photo op for most of them.
