New York Fashion Week may be over but London Fashion Week has only just begun!
Helping kick things off in style was designer Stella McCartney who staged a high-performance workout for Team Great Britain Olympic medallists as her newest sportswear collection for Adidas.
While some strolled around ‘Stella’s Gym’, others road-tested Stella’s designs as they went through their routines on the balance beam and trampoline.
The 37-year-old designer told reporters that the presentation was designed to demonstrate not just that sportswear could be functional and stylish – “but that it actually works.”
Show invitees were served passion fruit/mango/raspberry smoothies tall glasses of grapefruit. Champagne was simply not on the menu.

La diseñadora Stella McCartney, lanzó hoy martes su colección para Adidas primavera-verano 2009, en el London Fashion Week. En vez de un desfile tradicional, la tan querida estilista de los famosos, optó por presentar una performance inspirada en las olimpÃadas.
Al fin de la presentación Stella McCartney posó con las campeonas olÃmpicas Allyson Felix y Victoria Pendleton.
She needs to invest in some aging creams.
There’s a pimple there that needs squeezing. Otherwise she looks good. I’m sure not many people look good close up after the age of 35 if they’re applying their own makeup.
I would find it extremely difficult to trust such a dowdy-looking designer to make me look good. If she can’t be bothered with her own appearance, what would make her care about mine?
A designer has the colorists, hair stylists, and makeup artists at her fingertips. Why the hell isn’t Stella availing herself of their expertise?
OMG! She looks so old and haggard. Her entire face is sagging. I see lots of sun damage too.
Her skin looks too old for 37…
