DAMON CALLS OUT PALIN

Matt Damon has no love for Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as Sen. John McCain’s running mate.

In an interview with the AP, he called her a purely “political” pick, said there was a 1 in 3 chance based on actuarial tables that McCain wouldn’t survive his first term in the White House and called her “I’m-just-a-hockey-mom from Alaska” routine something out of a bad Disney movie. (Ouch!)

What’s more? Matty boy said he had a hard time envisioning her facing down Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin.

And he desperately wants to know if she really she really believes dinosaurs roamed the earth 4000 years ago since she’s going to be in control of the nuclear arsenal.

Watch it for yourself. Matt is peeved and he ain’t takin’ it no more!

He is so correct. We need to look past the photo of her and her talking and look at what she’s actually done and what she believes. If people did that, then most wouldn’t vote for her. Way to go, Matt!

First of all who cares what actors have to say about politics. They are nothing more then court jesters here to entertain us. If Obama wins it will be Jimmy Carter all over again. high taxes, high interest rates, and no guts to take on our enemies

letsbereal: so you can’t listen to citizens who have a point just because of their job? Wasn’t Reagan an actor? Still good enough to run your country apparently, so actors can’t all be ignorant and braindead….

I think Matt Damon knows more about politics than the average person does and I think you have no substance at all in your comment, it’s just a stupid cliché that you are repeating and it stinks of jealousy.

i learned all i need to know about matt damon in team america.
why do liberals predict both presidents will die in office?
    why the divisive FEAR MONGERING?
    WHO IS BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA!?
when did he convert away from islam, to christianity?
    WHY?
why is there no record of his baptizing?
why did he SIT THERE for 20 YRs, ‘not thinking anything was particularly controversial’ but now the man sired and mentored by marxists is SO DAMNED SENSITIVE ABOUT everything?
what is his involvement with KHALID AL MONSOUR
    RASHID KHALIDI
    WILLIAM AYERS
    ANNENBERG
    FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS
SAUL ALINSKI (who’s son just praised malcolm x jr i mean obama for following his father’s words so closely)

Adam: it’s hilarious how you americans today have left all the believes that we on the outside think you stand for. To rise suspicion by pointing to the fact that a name sounds muslim (what’s wrong with muslims by the way, wasn’t religous freedom the point with america in the first place????), is just so embarrassing when seen from the outside… It really goes against everything I thought america stands for. It would not have been ok ten years ago and if Obama ever was muslim he converted in the days america was still very much selling weapons to muslim countries….

Shame on you for the low intellectual level you keep!

  18. adam
    September-10-2008 @ 3:44 pm

    A
let me explain it to you.
there’s nothing wrong with being a muslim. i have many friends who are. now, most of them are ‘bad muslims.’ in other words, they don’t follow the militant, racist koran to a T…they drink with me, they hang out with my jewish friends without calling them descendants of ‘apes and pigs’ and they don’t go to masjid every friday.
now, i shouldn’t have to explain this to a smart foreigner but the issue isn’t whether obama is a muslim or not. THE ISSUE IS THAT HE WAS A MUSLIM, who’s father was an african ARAB, and that OBAMA DOESN’T TALK ABOUT THESE THINGS WITH PRIDE, or even AT ALL. why is he hiding things? moreover, WHY HASN’T HE BEEN ASKED by our press?
look, if you would have known 7yrs ago on 9.11 that america wouldn’t have been attacked again, you’d be shocked…and if you knew that our next president would be a trained marxist, corruptocrat with an arab name, you’d surely have thought we lost. it makes no matter…if john mccain’s middle name was jesus, or hitler, you foreigners would be going absolutely APEshit. the issue remains OBAMA has no PAPER RECORD of any part of his life, and yet he’s wanted to be the most powerful man in the world since he was 4. even his law school thesis is missing.
    WHAT ARE YOU HIDING BARACK?
do you get it now A?

Oh, I’m sure Matt reads or studies actuary tables on whether McCain as President would die during his first term of office.

Who cares if Palin believes in Dinosuars or not?
Go to FactsCheck.com or USA Today…, Palin never tried to ban ANY books from the Wasilla library, or any other library.

I’d like to know how pain has set back “Women’s Rights”?, as one complainer posted above.
OMGoodness., if anything, she is someone all women could aspire to (not based what her political views), but simplay based on where she has come from in life, and where she is now.

Of course picking Palin was a political pick, THIS IS POLITICS!
Barrck Obama picked Biden, very much a political pick, since Obama needed someone with Foreign Policy experience.

Does anyone remember the video of Biden saying “he’d be proud to run with McCain”, or McCain would be a better choice for president, or that Obama was not ready, and the office of president is not a place for on the job training.

Obama has been using CHANGE, CHANGE…as his theme, but picks a running mate, who likes McCain, a running mate that has been a Senator for 36 years. 36 years in Washington Dc, only a hearbeat from the presidency (if Obama wins) “What the hell kind of change is that”?

    September-10-2008 @ 4:30 pm

By the way, what Matt was referring to is that Sarah thinks that dinosaurs existed 4,000 years ago, not that they never existed. They have been extinct for 65 million years according to scientists, but Sarah believes in the literal interpretation of Genesis, and so believes that dinosaurs lived recently along with humans because according to Genesis the earth is very young.

  25. adam

all of bho’s buddies that spoke were pretty much washington dc insiders. HMMM.
pretty different than mccain. i bet if we added up all the years mccain has known all the speakers, it would be older than the usa.

I can’t believe that there are enough idiots out there willing to overlook the extremely serious ramifications of the policies that McCain and Palin support. What can you people be thinking? Does it only take a sassy exterior to make you forego all sane thought? McCain is hardly a maverick anymore– he was bought and sold years ago, and is now only a pathetic shadow of the principled man he seemed once to be. And Palin– my god, she’s as scary as they come: only out for herself and the Rich Boys Club who sponsors her. (And definitely, absolutely not the reformer they are claiming she is.) If the Democrats lose this election, it will have serious negative consequences all over the world, and our country will be much poorer –literally and figuratively– for it. Think, people, think! Please!

If actors today were like the ones in the 40’s and 50’s that joined the military and fought for OUR country, I might listen to them. Jimmy Stewart, Tyrone Power, John Wayne; even those that did not join, did their part to serve our troops and keep up their moral whether they believed in the war or not. Today’s actors have not done one damn thing to show their patriotism or support for our men in uniform or country, irregardless of whether or not we should be at war. Yeah, they have played parts in war movies but they got paid very well but that does not make them patriotic. Not one of these so called actors or actresses that are supporting BHO have joined a branch of the service or engaged in USO activities. When and if one of these fine looking girls and boys that you think hung the moon join the service and fight for our country, than I will listen to what they have to say. until then, I wouldn’t walk across the street to see them.
When BHO takes takes your guns and teaches you kindergartners about sex and homosexuality, when you no longer can say the word Jesus or God without fear of offending someone, when we are blown off the face of the earth because he will not defend this country or defend us against terrorism, than I wanna hear a big Hell Yeah for him from you liberal idiots. When you no longer have any control on how or what your children are taught, when this socialist idiot brainwashes your kids like he has you with his promise of “change” I want to hear you say “good job” and “I approve”. His change will destroy our great country and it will destroy you.

Look, people need to move past this whole military service requirement. This is not 1945. Nowadays our best and brightest 18 year olds go to college, not basic training. Only the burnouts, the dimwits and a few other folks who maybe come from military families, basically folks with few other options, choose the military. But if there is a kid out there who has a 4.0 GPA and happens to be the starting varsity quarterback, there is no way he is going to enlist, he is going to Harvard. I’m not trying to down the military, but why do you think they have to go recruiting in the hoods and the trailer parks? They are scraping the bottom of the barrel. John McCain comes from a different time, when being a soldier made you the hometown hero. Little boys looked up to soldiers. Now they look up to Brett Favre or Lebron James. Also, with the exceptions of Republicans, many Americans’ attitudes about war have changed. I think we favor diplomacy over combat where possible. So I respect John McCain as a person and as a veteran, but being in the military doesn’t automatically make you more qualified to either give you opinion or to be president.

Thank you Matt Damon for saying what many are afraid of saying for appearing to be sexist. I am so frustrated by the coverage of this election because no one in the media has mentioned the fact that we are in two wars around the globe, an economy in peril, a record number of foreclosures, 80,000+ jobs lost last month, 6% unemployment, etc., etc. and we are focusing on… moose burgers. Don’t we deserve better? Don’t we deserve a media who understands what is at stake in this election? I must say that I am impressed with most of the comments thus far because they are not focused on personal attacks but on issues.

Geez I have a lot to say today. About Obama and being a Muslim, this tactic is only to try to tie him to terrorism and 9/11. It doesn’t matter since he’ is not a Muslim and since even if he was, he does not represent the image of terrorism in people’s minds. He is a biracial man, half white and half black, and America is familiar with this aesthetic, not at all like the hijackers from 9/11.

For the people who are dissing on Matt Damon, I think the point he’s trying to make is that he doesn’ t want to vote in the election, which is in less than 2 months, for a person he knows nothing about. He wasn’t against her because she’s a woman, he said that she’s been sprung upon us, we know nothing about her and she really doesn’t have much experience. McCain isn’t young and if he dies, she’ll be president. Can she handle that duty??? It wasn’t an actor pushing his political views, he was just giving an honest opinion. While none of us really know how a candidate will turn out, she’s really not the best choice and it IS scary.

Comment #38. My comment was not meant to encourage military service, it was meant to point out that these actors/actresses Like Damon are not like the rest of us.Also they don’t have the guts and courage of earlier generations. They are famous and rich. They want to try and influence their fans into voting like they do, BUT if they don’t like what their elected officials do, they pick up and move elsewhere along with the family, or buy an island and put their kids in private school. You really think they give a damn about us? Neither one of these candidates are worth a damn, but with Obamamessiah, you will get to hell via fast track. Go ahead and vote for him! What the hell has he actually done for this country as a senator?
Name me 3 things as a senator he has done for this country? Been in office for 146 days, most of that campaigning, and what has he done? I don’t mean campaigning either?
I hope you all get what you are asking for because you deserve living in a communist country; you can bet Matt , George, Oprah and all the rest of Hollyweird will move elsewhere and won’t even look back at what they have done to you. I will cling to my guns, my Bible and try to keep this from happening to my kids and grandkids.

Perhaps lil’ Matt is just method acting to get into character for his next role as an intellectually dishonest, hypocritical ignoramus.

  50. September-11-2008 @ 3:23 am

Lil’ Matt is worried that we know so little about Gov. Palin, the VP nominee. Matt, what you should be worried about is that we know so little about Obama, the actual presidential nominee, and what we do know of him (that he attended a racist church for 20 years that proudly preaches Black Liberation Theology, that he’s friends with Bill Ayers, a former domestic terrorist from the Weather Underground, that part of his mansion in Chicago was paid for by convicted fellon Tony Rezko, that he is utterly obsessed with race, that he ranks as the most extreme liberal in congress by an independent survey) is downright scary. Matt, you would never treat Palin with such disrespect and be so belittling of her accomplishments (which far outweigh your own and Obama’s) if she were a liberal.

A RESPONSE TO ACTOR, MATT DAMON …

    MATT …

You’re just an actor, and everyone knows that you and Ben Afflick have been in the tank for Obma, even before Palin came along. Your lines are written for you, just like a speech writer creates the lines for Obama.
A director tells you what to do each moment . Make-up people and costurme designers work on your
appearance. Other than that, you’re just like anybody else, except you seem to think that since you’re
a manufactured celebrity, your opinion means more, but it doesn’t.

    QUESTION:
IS PALIN QUALIFIED COMPARED TO OBAMA ?

    ANSWER:
    http://townhall.com/blog/g/cba8713c-ef73-4ebc-aa5e-bc53e6596e2a&comments=true

Once again … if you compare McCain/Palin’s track record with Obama/Biden’s, it’s no contest. McCain/Palin are a hundred times more qualified to lead this country. McCain/Palin show scores of actual achievements and solid service to America, while once again, Obama’s track record is one of excessive absences from his responsibilities, and all talk with no actual experience, or contributions to America.
Like Governor Palin has pointed out … Obama had the time to write two memoirs, but never wrote one piece of significant legislation … not even when he was in the state legislature. Regarding earmarks, and the economy … If Obama gets elected, his irresponsible and clueless ideas for shifting America’s wealth would turn the U.S.A. into a third world country, with businesses laying off employees to keep their doors open. Obama’s ideas for national security would de-fang America and make us weak, putting us at the mercy of the world’s tyrants.

AMEN.. i give up on trying to convince you all… If you are not rich.. you will eat your words backing this dangerous duo. Not quite sold on Obama.. but I’m definitely scared of someone who wants to take scientific information and say ” eh, I don’t believe that so it’s not so” and then to push that on all students? WTF? do we not have seperation of church and state? You want ur kids to learn creationism? Send them to a private school.. I want my kids to learn FACTS! Our faith lies at home.
    .
Oh and saying that the war in Iraq was sanctioned by GOD? WTF? u guys really wanna vote for this bitch? mercy of the world’s tyrants? Look outside your little USA box and think what the rest of the world thinks of us….Yea, we need to build up our military.. b/c idiots like her make us look just as bad as we feel the terrorist are. She basically called it a holy war.. jihad means holy war… so she’s like radical muslims… only she calls him GOD and they call him ALLAH!
    .
the utter hypocrisy and idiocracy of McCain/Palin’s platform and their blind middle class followers who will soon, hopefully realize these two don’t give a fuck about you, is frightening.
