Don’t expect many of host Denis Leary’s jokes from Friday night’s Fashion Rocks show to make it into the edited TV show airing Tuesday night on CBS.
Here are a couple of jabs that most likely won’t be heard tomorrow:
Denis on David Duchovny: “David Duchovny will not be here tonight. I think you know why. … I don’t really buy the sex addiction thing, do you? If sex is an addiction I might as well have my own … wing at the Betty Ford Center. Just a little computer and a plaque that has my name on it.”Denis on Britney Spears: “Britney Spears will not be here tonight but we’re gonna do a little Britney tribute later on. I’m gonna chug a bottle of NyQuil, do seven shots of vodka, shave my head and make out with members of the paparazzi and then I’m gonna leave my kids with Lil’ Wayne for about 3½ weeks.”
As for his jokes about new father Ricky Martin? Well, that language was so lewd that it’s simply unprintable. Sorry.

I don’t think making fun of someone’s addiction or their mental illness is funny at all. I don’t think making fun of other people makes comedy full stop. It doesn’t take a brainiac to do it, it just takes a mean person. So many comedians these days just find their humour out of other people’s misery or misfortunes and I’m sorry but what’s so funny about that. Sarah Silverman, Russell Brand, Joan Collins….they obviously can’t find any other good material.
Given ricky Martin has repeatedly said he is straight, clearly Denis BOTOX Leary didn’t do his homework. Ricky Martin said even just last year that He wished to be married and hopes to be someday.
Many men who haven’t found Miss Right or, like Ricky martin with Rebeca de alba, came out of failed relationships, go with surrogacy so they won’t be too old when they start a family. Many relationships fail anyway and the guys usally don’t get the kids so straights going with surrogacy is becoming more and more common.
I love Denis! He is fucking hilarious and he’s one of the more talented comedians/actors in the business. Rescue Me is so underrated! Do yourself a favor and watch that instead of those lame ass reality shows you’ve been watching.

WTF?! Ricky martin isn’t gay. He even said so. Only people living under a rock think that surrogacy fatherhood means gay. It is about equal straight and gay men who have kids this way.
As for David, I think we can safely say his “Private Matter” of sex addiction that HE MADE PUBLIC, is because he plays a sex addict charactor in a new show and he wants ratings.
Denis Leary used to be so funny. Now he is just a sell out who resorts to strange insults to get a laugh. Sad how they fall.
