Christina Aguilera channeled her inner Kylie Minogue as she sang on stage at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles today.
The spacey performance of Keeps Getting Better was so futuristic that even her voice was digital — as in she lip synced her way though it!
Admittedly, however, the rock ‘n’ roll makeover of Genie in the Bottle was hot, hot, hot!
Seconds after her performance, Xtina ran off stage and was hauled off in golf cart as her dancers applauded for her from the backlot.

FYI, mom mom’s friend won a mustang on The Price is Right back in the 80s. So just take it easy on the get well wishes if you know what I mean. That’s what video games are for.

I liked the beginning of her performance because that version of Genie was WAY better than the original. The rest of the performance was just not up to par with what you expect from her.

I’m liking her new look. It was about time she changed it up a little. I thought that version of Genie in a Bottle was awesome as well! It’s so cool that Christina and Britney are back at these awards…I feel like I actually am in 2000 again haha.
I know it’s 2008, can we let the whole Christina/Britney saga go. Christina is successful in her own right, does her own thing and I think she’s proven how talented she is. I also love the fact that she was never fake about who she was. I think she looked and sounded great and I don’t mind if she lip synched because we know the girl can sing.

Didn’t watch the VMA’s so I have no comment about the performances…however…
I really don’t think her body was ready for the spandex leggings. That magazine she did a few months ago wearing the pink bandage dress was full of crap. She still has a ways to go before getting her prebaby body. And trust me, I don’t expect these people to look all anorexic again overnight after having babies, but be honest to your fans in magazines and don’t allow them to photoshop the hell outta you.
Sorry but Christina looked horrible. I know she just had a baby and isn’t all skinny but her shape was just SO funky. Not a good look….

I didn’t get to see the beginning of the performance but turned to MTV during the middle of it. I was momentarily stunned to see Brooke Hogan performing because I can’t stand her and didn’t think that she even had a record deal still. Then to my surprise it was Christina Aguilera! I didn’t like the song nor did I care for the performance, she’s all over the map to me and I’m just over it!

She cannot dance, and that outfit made all her imperfections stand out. She could have done alot better. Why can’t this woman highlight her best assets, all she points to are her weak spots.
First of all christina looked a mess in that cat suit her body was all over the place the song she sang sucked BUT that remake of genie in the bottle was the HOTNESS! Too bad she didn’t perform that all the way through because that other song was horrible!.
