While there was no girl-on-girl kissing (boo!!), both gals hammed it up for cameras…..much to the delight of the paparazzi.
While both Miley and Katy were all smiles, a battle is brewing within — both ladies face off for Best New Artist.
Meanwhile, Katy is slated to perform not only her own hit I Kissed a Girl, but also a snippet of Madonna’s Like A Virgin as MTV pays tribute to some of its more memorable moments as it celebrates its 25th year.
“I’m just excited to have a great seat,” said the 23-year-old pop star. “I’m excited to change looks and to have fun … I’m excited to be a part of something that I would sneak over to my friend’s house and plan my whole week around.”

What the hell is Katy Perry wearing!!?? I have to say I’m not a fan of her she’s just out looking to shock and using the same old tired methods every other performer has. Boring. This time next year I don’t think anyone will even remember her. Miley is the same….desperately seeking attentions using every media stunt possible. She is going to be sooooo embarassed when she’s a bit older and looks back on everything. It’s so obvious she’s still just a little girl.
Me thinks Katy forgot her skirt. Poor thing.

I like Miley. People like to pick on her a lot, but she’s just a kid. Yeah, she says and does a lot of things that she’ll look back on with embarrassment, but that’s adolescence for ya. Many kids don’t have that kind of foresight.
