The latest installemtn in the “Who will replace Rosie?” soap opera is that comedian Mario Cantone, a frequent guest on ‘The View’ (and well-known to ‘Sex and the City’ fans as Charlotte’s bitchy pal), might be tapped join the heretofore all-female panel.
Responding to the People tale, Advocate editor Sean Kennedy tells the New York Post, “It makes sense to have a gay guy on the show after all these years.”
And again, we proactively mourn the loss of all that Barbara Walters-instigated heterosexual sex talk.

I think he would be GREAT on there, he has such a good friendship with Joy. The only thing I’d worry about is Babs & Elizabeth not getting his jokes.

I read this the other day, Mario Canton is way too over the top, when he doesn’t get the laughs he thinks he deserves he yells, and tries to beat you over the head with his “in” jokes. Babs won’t have it.
His desperate act won’t add anything, but I bet he loves this talk about him.

He’s way too fucking obnoxious. Frig…his voice is enough to keep me from watching.

Yeah, he can be a little obnoxious, but whenever he is on The View, I always watch. He is a riot.
