Jennifer Lopez is without a doubt the hardest working woman in show business. The multi-hyphenated diva kept touring, kept acting and kept designing months into her unannounced pregnancy.
But the road to motherhood was no walk in the park, La Lopez reveals in the fashion-packed September issue of Elle magazine.
The new mom opens up about all things life, love and fashion the mag’s latest issue.
J.Lo on Dolce and Gabbana: “My babies! I love them, I love them, I love them.â€J.Lo on Donatella Versace: “We’ve always had a very sweet relationship. I really got to know her more after her brother had died.â€
J.Lo on Georgina Chapman: “She could be a model—but meanwhile she’s down there pinning and sewing all these things all over you!â€
J.Lo on shooting in Washington Heights with Oscar de la Renta: “We were in the hoody! All kinds of locals hanging around, eating out of paper bags, thinking, what’s going on here? It was crazy.â€
J.Lo on being pregnant and commissioning a book of photos of herself for Marc two weeks before giving birth: “I was like, How am I going to rock this moment of my life?… I felt very womanly. Marc was in a dream. He loved it.â€
J.Lo on not being able to get pregnant right away: “We knew nothing was wrong with either one of us—I had been checked, and he had kids already. I knew Something’s not ready here, in my head or in my life, and when it is, I know it’s going to happen.â€
J.Lo on first realizing she was pregnant: “I was sitting down doing hair and makeup and I felt a flutter. The weirdest little…flourish. My makeup artist said ‘What’s the matter?’ I didn’t say anything, but in my head, I was like, I have life inside me!â€
J.Lo on her pregnancy: “We came off tour and I said ‘I did the superwoman thing, I finished the tour—now I need you to take care of me. I love doing things for you; if I’m not cooking, then I’m picking out a shirt. But this is the first time in my life where I’m just going to be a little bit selfish. I don’t know if I’m going to have kids again, so I want it to be a beautiful experience. I don’t want to have any drama. I want to just be smiling every day.’”

She looks fabulous. She always strives to take on new challenges like now the Triathalon. That should get rid of any remaining baby fat! That is an unusual symptom of first knowing you’re pregnant. Usually you know months before the first flutter. Sore and tender breasts for one thing. But everyone is different.
Keira, she was saying realizing she was pregnant, it usually is when you feel movement that it kicks it that there is a life inside of you. I knew she was pregnant before that. I love J-lo

Um, hey “bohs,” Jennifer Lopez is the original. Beyonce is the one who steals other people’s style and swagger. Especially the style and swagger of J.Lo. So, Beyonce is the REAL biter.

Ummm…that’s not what she said. She first realized she was pregnant when she felt a flutter. It doesn’t sound like she thought she was pregnant before that.
I’ve never been a big fan of her but since her pregnancy I think she’s really softened a lost a lot of that diva-ish that was always attached to her. She still comes across as a bit condescending when she talks though, but maybe I’m the only one who notices it. I think she looks gorgeous in these pictures! Some of the best shots I’ve ever seen of her! I love the one of her with Donatella…stunning!
