Taking a page out of the Renee Zellweger playbook, Hilary Swank is set to pack on the pounds to play the lead in French Women Don’t Get Fat, an adaptation of Mireille Guiliano’s best-selling book.
“She’ll gain 20 to 30 pounds,” we’re told by a source close to the production. “It’s no sweat. She’s played a man before. She can handle anything.”
First a dude. Then a hillbilly boxer. And now a fat foreign woman — is there anything Hilary won’t do for an Oscar?

She has really got the chops for acting! I dont think there is any doubt that she will do anything to fully capture any role she plays.
She’s a good actress…. I have a guy friend who Looks EXACTLY like her…. Not sure if it’s bad for him or bad for her LOL>
Hilary rocks! Hilary is one who doesn’t shy away from really fitting in her role. She takes it to “that” level. That’s what makes her a great actress.

God forbid they find some chunky actress to play the role? Why is it the skinny ones want the fat roles and the gorgeous ones want the ugly roles? It’s not like the world is lacking fat or unattractive people. Come to think of it, I’m sure they would realllly appreciate the opportunity.
