A camera-shy Keira Knightley was spotted making her way to a chauffeured vehicle following an in-depth interview at the Radio 1 studios in London today.
During her sit-down, the 23-year-old actress proclaimed that she doesn’t care if women hate her — because it is natural for females to loathe celebrities of the same gender.
Says Keira, “If you put yourself in the public forum, it’s what you put yourself up for. I don’t need to read it. Manipulation is something women do a lot. Women get obsessed with other women — love them or hate them. That line is very easy to cross.”
The Atonement star also responded to a quote from British newspaper The Guardian, which read: “If you want to befriend a woman, ask her the question: ‘What do you think of Keira Knightley?’ In the resulting torrent of bile and loathing, you will bond.”
Miss Knightley added: “I’m doing a good thing for women then.”

Wow! I never gave her a second thought before, either way. But, gee, I guess she really is worth not liking. She has made the case all by herself just by opening her mouth! ………Let the bonding begin!
Sadly, I think she’s right. Women do tend to tear each other apart unneccessarily. I personally like her, but know that I’m in the minority and get verbally attacked by other women in my support of her. And the question reiterated from the British newspaper, The Guardian, only proves her argument. Sadly, the nature of our culture.

Ok, I need to revise my former statement. I thought that she actually said this: “If you want to befriend a woman, ask her the question: ‘What do you think of Keira Knightley?’ In the resulting torrent of bile and loathing, you will bond.†On second read, I understand that she was responding to that quote from a newspaper. What she said doesn’t seem quite so bad, now, but I have to disagree with the paper that said that. Most women are not shallow enough to bond over such trivial items as that.

Hummm, why hate Keira? I cant see why? unlike Lindsay she actually cares about her career, she has been picking really good projects latelly, never talks about her personal life in publib and she also only gives interviews when she has a film to promote, unlike many hollywood twats who are always shopping in Bervely Hills in order to get some paparazzi attention. Women are just jealous creatures, and its sad because I love my gender, but have to admit that.
She’s gorgeous (love her outfit here) and talented. What’s not to like? And what was the paper expecting her to say anyway? Was she supposed to cry or something? Gimme a break.

Her voice is a little annoying and she seems to be playing the same character in movies all the time but I think she’s a good actress and she seems like a nice enough person. She’s probably one of the other British celebrities whose not a drug addict or a complete skank.
