‘Never Again,‘ the first single from Kelly Clarkson’s new album streeting Tuesday, isn’t the tops, says program directors for New York City’s Top 40 stations. “We’re disappointed,” WHTZ’s Tom Poleman tells the New York Daily News. “The listeners don’t seem very excited. It’s done OK, not great.” Adds WPLJ’s Tom Cuddy, “We finally dropped it [in the rotation]. Listener response just wasn’t there.”
Worse yet, the forecast for Kelly’s follow-up single isn’t much better. Says Poleman, “I’ve heard [it] and the potential isn’t that great.” “You’re rooting for her to have hits,” says WLTW’s Jim Ryan, “but if the listeners don’t love it, we can’t play it.”
In other words, for Kelly this isn’t her now — this is her, “No, thank you.”

I love Kelly, but it’s not a very good song- I change the station.

Everyone knows radio play is baught and paid for anyhow. Like her last cd, they paid lots of $$$ to get all that radio play. Now Clive Davis is mad at her, so he wont pay for radio as a punishment.
And they have cancelled her US tour. Ha, ha, ha, dumbass bitch was just a packaged star anyway. She can sing OK, but has no real musical talent or she would know the differnce between her second album, and this new piece of shit song.
Yeah the new song sucks, her last songs from her last cd were good (not great). And that’s what you get by not listening to the man, Clive. She thinks she’s a big music diva and she can do whatever she wants and it will work. NOT! Even Whitney didn’t do that!
And I agree that the music companies must pay the radio stations to play their songs, it explains why we have to hear so much crap played OVER AND OVER AND OVER!

As Simon would say, she doesn’t even sing the horrible song, she screams it! And it is really irritating to listen to. Whoever told her she could write songs was sadly mistaken!

You have to hear the rest of the new cd (on the leak at mtv.com). I like ‘My December’ much more than her others. I’m glad she took this approach with a new cd, it shows she really is an artist and not just another pop clone. Go buy her cd next week and show her some love!
I think it’s hilarious and sad to spot all the people with “body issues” on the boards based on the comments they make. Not fat, not a walking skeleton either. I feel sad for people like pat, cause if they judge complete strangers so harshly how hard must they be on themselves?
