What is the first thing you should do if you win a one million dollar record deal from American Idol? Hire a money manager!
Season two winner Ruben Studdard has been hit with federal and state property liens for allegedly failing to pay nearly $200 000 in state and federal taxes. The Velvet Teddy Bear owes the feds $171 920 in unpaid income tax and owes $21 730 in state income taxes.
The irony of it all? Most of it is from 2003, the year that Ruben won American Idol.
So, how’s he going to pay it off? He was recently dropped by J Records so that won’t help. Luckily the Alabama crooner will star in the touring production of the Broadway show, Ain’t Misbehavin, alongside fellow Idol-ers Frenchie Davis and Trenyce beginning this November.
Let’s hope he can get an advance on his first paycheck.

This guy is a perefect example of that American Idol is a fixed show. I mean did anyone really buy this guys one record??

Maybe he should get the money from Clay Aiken. He came in second and is worth millions. They are friends. (and even though Aiken IS worth millions, I am joking about him helping Ruben)

actually #4, Clay is VERY wealthy. Lots of people hate on him, but he got bank.
