I’m supperised either. He totally seems that type just like Michael Douglas was that type and went to rehab for a sex addiction.
I love how he asks for privacy but totally says what he’s in rehab for. I’m sure Tea’s happy about that.
Couldn’t he have just entered rehab without making a statement? Honestly, they claim they want privacy but moves like this screams publicity.

This is actually a well-known fact about David which has come up in the past. I used to be a fan of his during “The Red Shoe Diaries,” and read an article then about how he went to Sexaholics Anonymous but admitted to picking up sex dates AT THE MEETINGS. I laughed, but apparently this is a pretty serious problem.
Sexaholics use sex to get over feelings of rage or inadequacy, etc., and just continue to screw anything that moves, basically - frequenting prostitutes, and anyone else who will have sex with them. This isn’t your regular affair (or three). This is like, EVERY night a different woman - not even thinking about your family. You just can’t stop.
I hope he gets the help he needs for his kids’ sake. That would be a horrible thing to learn about your father.
It’s nothing new with him (and for those idiots who don’t think the addiction is real - please educate yourself on it). He admitted his dependency over 15 years ago (long before he met and married his wife).

Californication rules!
You recover from sexual problems by:
1. Making a list of the things you’re doing that are causing you and/or others big shame, guilt, pain, or risk that you’d rate 6-10 on a 1-10 scale, 10 being the worst.
2. Stop doing them.
If you can’t, you’re a sex addict. Or if you’re doing things that are illegal, putting you/and others at risk of STD’s, keeping lots of secrets…if you’re curious, take a test at http://www.sexhelp.com.
If you’re a sex addict, you recover by:
1. Admitting it to yourself and at least one other person you can trust.
2. Going to 12-step meetings for sexual recovery, like SAA (Sex Addicts Anonymous: http://www.saa-recovery.org)
3. Going to a CSAT, or Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (referrals at http://www.sexhelp.com) for treatment
It takes 3-5 years to really turn things around if you’re addicted, but life gets really, really awesome. Believe me, I’m a sex addict 6 1/2 years into recovery and I’m sober, happy, sensual and sexy–just not compulsively so.
