i liked it, but it’s so weird to introduce her as an Academy Award Winner since it’s an award for acting. She’s still not really known as an actress, she’s primarily known as a singer so it’s just a weird coincidence that she would win an Oscar before a Grammy.
I agree ‘Spotlight’ is not a great first single.
I was happy to hear her keep it simple - all the vocal gymnastics so many singers do nowadays - they make listening to a song exhausting. Too much showing off - Jhud kept it clean and interesting. Well done.
