Valentino heated up the red carpet today during the Venice Film Festival.
The Italian designer was on hand to check out Valentino: The Last Emperor, a documentary by Vanity Fair special correspondent Matt Tyrnauer, about the designer who has dressed famous women including Jackie Kennedy, Gwyneth Paltrow and Julia Roberts.
Tyrnauer followed Valentino around for the two years leading up to his retirement last January, catching him as he created gorgeous gowns for the runway and gradually accepting the idea of his retirement.
It was clearly a special night for Valentino as he was joined by longtime boyfriend and business partner Giancarlo Giammetti.

It’s funny how he and his boyfriend have the same ‘look’. Super perma-tanned skin, those kind of serious un-amused faces and their suits even match! They both look pretty handsome in my opinion though. And there is no denying what a wonderful designer he is.
They make a cute couple. It’s nice to see that his partner is similar in age.
