Katie Holmes continued her ongoing rehearsals at the Minetta Lane theatre in downtown Manhattan on Tuesday.
The Broadway actress looked rather understated today, donning jeans, a black blouse, flats and a polka dot scarf.
Katie has worn variations on this casual look most days as she walks to the NYC studio where she’s preparing her role in the Arthur Miller play, All My Sons. But Tom Cruise may be regretting his leading lady’s change of sartorial direction. The couple’s stylist has revealed that the well-worn jeans Katie favours have been nabbed from her husband’s wardrobe. And with her looking this comfortable in them, she may take her time before returning them!
Meanwhile, Katie will soon be lauching her new Holmes-Yang collection at New York Fashion Week next week. Around the same time BFF Victoria Beckham is set to unveil her new DvB dress designs…to a select few.
“The timing is unfortunate,” an insider tells the Daily Mail. “Officially, Victoria’s people say no runway show was planned and this has nothing to do with Katie launching her line but the truth is Victoria doesn’t want the inevitable comparisons.”
Worry not, Posh. Surely Katie’s collection will be full of baggy boy jeans, right?
