David Beckham was all smiles as he prepared to participate in the 2008 Beijing Olympics Games’ closing ceremony last night where London was introduced at the host city for the 2012 Games.
His highly aniticipated appearance dispels reports claiming that the soccer ace and his wife Victoria Beckham were involved in a “terrifying car crash” on Friday in France.
Britain’s The Sun claimed that the couple’s black BMW was spotted with a smashed windscreen and extensive damage along the passenger side were as they returned from their holiday home in the French Riviera to Nice Airport.
According to the the Spice Girl’s spokeswoman, reports were overblown. “There was no car crash,” says Cheryl Maisel. “David and Victoria Beckham were driving a car that had been scratched the day before when it had been left parked at the airport - they were not involved in any accident at all. There was no police, no crash, no paparazzi chase, etc. - just very incorrect reports via Internet gossip sites.”
The story has now been removed from The Sun’s website.
Next up for the Beckham family? A flight to New York City where they plan to attend Fashion Week, which kicks off on September 5.

It’s crazy how some of these stories start! Good to know they are all ok. Becks looks incredibly hot here and I think the fact that he seems to love his wife and family so much and just is a nice guy really makes him that much hotter!
