John McCain has slammed Madonna for comparing him to Adolf Hitler and Robert Mugabe on her latest world tour.
In a just-released statement by campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds, the presidential hopeful says: “The comparisons are outrageous, unacceptable and crudely divisive all at the same time. It clearly shows that when it comes to supporting Barack Obama, his fellow worldwide celebrities refuse to consider any smear or attack off limits.”

Regardless of what I think about McCain’s politics, Madonna’s latest publicity stund makes her look like an uneducated loser. You don’t joke around about calling people HITLER. Complete lack of appreciation for what the victims of HITLER’s policy have gone through (and continue to go through). I’m glad McCain said something about this. In my opinion her stupidity was not about supporting Obama but defaming McCain and that just shouldn’t be the way it works. It was a very idiotic move on her part and I think it should be removed from her tour. Nobody deserves to be compared to people like Hitler and Mugabe, especially not John McCain who really is pretty harmless. I’m getting so over this campaign and the candidates fighting dirty. McCain needs to stop comparing Obama to celebrities and the celebrities need to stop doing things like Madonna has done and just shut up and perform and stop interfering in politics so much.
