Surprise, surpise — Madonna is courting controversy in her latest world tour.
The Sticky and Sweet tour made a foray into American politics with a loud and clear dig at U.S. presidential hopeful John McCain tonight.
Images of destruction and global warming flashed on to a screen during a video interlude. Those were followed by pictures of Adolf Hitler, Zimbabwe’s authoritarian ruler Robert Mugabe…..and McCain.
A later sequence showed slain Beatle John Lennon, climate activist Al Gore, Mahatma Gandhi and finally McCain’s democratic rival, Barack Obama.
It is Madonna’s first tour since striking a deal with concert promoter Live Nation Inc. worth an estimated $120 million over 10 years.
That’s right — Madge with be dancing and writhing on stage into her 60s.

For someone who is supposedly a complete control freak and has to approve everything, these latest pictures she’s releasing are terrible. What is up with that awkward and misplaced high collar and her expression is like they just happened to snap her sitting there. It’s just weird.
Madonna is clearly an idiot. Hitler was a murderous madman, Mugabe is a racist dictator. To compare McCain to these evil men is beyond stupid. Whatever your political affiliation, no reasonable, sane person would ever compare these men to McCain.
Marlene, what is so bad about McCain that you think it’s fair to compare him to Mugabe and Hitler? And what has Al Gore and Barack Obama accomplished that either should be compared to Ghandi? Unless you can answer these questions you’re clearly just as idiotic as Madonna.

Oh give it a break! We get it that she loves Obama but comparing McCain to Hilter and Mugabe is just taking it too far and is an obvious cry for attention and controversy. What Madonna is doing with these comparisons is the same as what dictators would do in their countries to brainwash their people. It simply shows that Madonna isn’t as intelligent as she tries us to believe. Sad. Once again, it has nothing to do with expressing her artistic side. It’s just a sad attempt to gain publicity and it’s a pity that the media is once again jumping on it.

Good. The thought of McCain getting into power is scary. Madonna is definitely not stupid… what a dumb ass comment….She is a self-made smart busines woman worth almost a billion dollars She did not have a rich daddy. It’s the same thing with the whole cross scene 2 years ago. The media said she hanged on a cross and people screamed she was an attention whore. Yet the message behind it and the 6 minuts before the crucifix scene were forotten. It was (for those who see further than the “controversy”) a very positive and good massage she tried to bring across. The context of the crucifix is understood much better if people see the part before the cross, read the lines on the big screens and see the CONTEXT. This time it’s not different. The headlines read, MADONNA, CONTROVERY and people get on their high horse, point fingers, judge her and call her stupid without really knowing the truth. Who’s the stupid one? Is it Madonna or the people who base their opinion on some article or tv report?
