A Cuban taekwondo athlete has attacked the referee after losing his bronze-medal match.
Angel Matos was declared the loser for taking too much injury time after hurting his leg during the men’s over-80 kg match. Fighters get one minute, and Matos was disqualified when his time ran out.
Matos angrily questioned the call, pushed a judge, then pushed and kicked referee Chakir Chelbat of Sweden. After spitting on the floor, he was escorted out.
It was not immediately clear whether Matos would be punished.

ACTUALLY it was immediately clear that Matos would be punished. His medal was stripped and he and his coach were banned for life by the taekwondo federation.

People of color have been repressed for many years. Therefore its fair that society gives people of color the benefit of the doubt in situations like this. You have to ask yourself why he felt he needed to kick the man to get his respect rather than just condemn the man for his actions which you can’t understand since you haven’t walked in his shoes.
