MADONNA KICKS OFF STICKY & SWEET TOUR

Madonna kicked off her highly anticipated Sticky & Sweet tour promoting her number one album Hard Candy at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday evening in Cardiff, Wales.

The 50-year-old pop icon was dressed in a black one piece outfit designed by Givenchy, with matching knee-high boots, fishnet tights and a sparkly cane.

More than forty thousand adorning fans packed the Millennium Stadium which eventually appeared to look like a sea of pink filled with pink cowboy hats and pink feather boas.

Among the fans were film director and husband Guy Ritchie, and children Lourdes Leon, Rocco Ritchie and David Banda.

I kind of wish I’d bought tickets for the LA show now…I think it would have been an awesome concert. I just have not been a huge fan of her album so that’s why I didn’t really want to go. I think the songs are pretty lacklustre this time around, even 4 Minutes with Justin. Madonna is looking really good for her age and I think she’s still getting better and better and what she does, but every artist has a bit of a down time. I wish her costumes weren’t so skimpy though, she’s just a little too old for all that now I think.

It’s the 21st century. 50 is not old. People have a mindset of the old days when 50 meant gray hair and a bun and granny panties. Glad Madonna is breaking that stereotype.

50 isn’t old, neither should it be classless.

Mmm, yeah–what every young boy needs to see–his mom dressed like a dominatrix and riding some guy’s thigh. Great family viewing! What’s Rocco supposed to say when his mom asks him if he liked the concert? “Gee mom, I loved seeing you in all those open-crotched poses!”

Now that’s better. Hopefully she won’t be wearing that lollipop get-up as seen in the other post. THIS kind of wardrope she is showing here kicks-ass….

I was astounded! We waited and waited for Madonna to show - late. She was in amazing shape for a 50+ person but remembering the words to her songs was a challenge too far. The soundtrack was very good but it was a shame that Madonna had not had the time amongst her busy rehersal shedule to remember the lyrics. Not a show to waste your money on unless you have nothing better to do with your time. I think that she needs to remember that she that we paid money to hear a talented lady sing, not a middle aged lady demonstrate how supple she still is.
