Madonna kicks off her Sticky & Sweet world tour at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in Wales this weekend and tickets at roughly half the venues are still available.
Organizers Live Nation announced earlier this year the tour was on target to gross more than $250 million.
Has the 50-year-old pop diva lost her ticket-selling sizzle? And if so, how will this affect her all-encompassing $120 million deal with Live Nation?
Stay tuned!

She is so out dated and no gives a crap about her music anymore. I am not trying to diss her but once you hit 50…pop music should not be your occupation. How about being a wife and mom now??
I agree^^^. She is no longer interesting musically and is doing this primarily for the money she will get paid. I bet most shows will not sell out.
She is still amazing and her tour will also be fantastic. No one has done more than her in the business and she will have support from her many fans.
It seems most tickets will be bought before the shows days before or the day of, seems a lot of people wait til the last minute with tickets.
But this could also have to do with her tickets being so expensive, being screwed by Ticketmaster and that she’s playing only stadiums on this one.
Not a Madonna fan since her Like A Virgin yrs, but I think she’s still quite popular were her shows are concerned. The problem is the price of the tickets. Even in better economic times concert tickets are crazy expensive so I don’t get why some of these tours expect in less than best economic times people would splurge on something frivolous like that. Her ticket price could pay a utility bill, or buy some school supplies, or groceries, all whose costs are serious to some and not much of a blip on her financial screen. Hey, she earned it and I’m not one of those hate the rich people, but I also ain’t trying to help her make more when I need it more.
Nobody wants to see a granny bumping and grinding on young male bodies grosssssssssss
live nation made a bad deal …………………..refund.
vadge is more entertaing for her immorality and scandals than her so called lyp synching “ART”.
Maybe not a big gay following in wales ?????
Maybe she should lower her ticket prices a bit. Maybe then I’d go.
Perhaps a large portion of her fan base has been “laid off”.
She does realize there is a recession going on?
The news just reported food prices are jumping up a whooping 12% this year.
Let’s see—-Madonna,…..Food,….Food,….Madonna?
Um, she’s playing stadiums instead of venues. THey are a lot more difficult to sell out. Even if she sells 95 percent of her seats the show is still a huge success.
Give me a break. In Houston she has sold over 47000 seats for ONE show. It’s not sold out yet but that is a lot of seats whether it’s called “sold out” or not. Oh and the show is still 3 months away
Madonna is another celebrity who may be successful in the fantasy world of show business and flaunting herself, but when it comes to politics, she is an airhead. Furthermore … John McCain has not only proved himself with over 40 years of service to America, but when he was a prisoner in Hanoi, and he was given the chance of early release, and he chose to stay … out of honor and love of America, even though it meant years of additional captivity and torture, it showed remarkable integrity and character … something Madonna doesn’t even recognize … let alone acknowledge. Madonna’s comparison of John McCain to Adolph Hitler is a travesty … and another example of how these spoiled celebrities who support Obama, enjoy the benefits and sacrifices made by others, while these ingrates trash American heros like McCain who suffered to insure their freedoms and opportunities.
