Daughtry has re-recorded Feels Like the First Time, made famous by Foreigner in 1977, as the theme song for the network’s League of First Time Voters initiative.
The music video will premiere on Campbell Brown: Election Center today and the single will appear on Daughtry Deluxe, the band’s deluxe version of its debut album, due out September 9.

Pretty boring cover of a classic Foreigner song. Nothing original about it, or about anything Daughtry does.
Daughtry completely rocks! You guys need to shut up and accept the fact that this band is awesome. Their album was the number one album of 2007 and was nominated for 4 frickin grammy’s, with just a debut effort!!! How can you say he sucks???

Kayla, The Grammy’s are a total joke. People who really understand music don’t even watch them because they’re such a joke. And the number one album is that way because that’s what the record companies convinced the average consumer to buy. Britney can sell a million albums too… Does that make her any good? No.
Daughtry pretty much tried to duplicate the original, and did a very poor job at it. This one is loud, crappy and uninspired. Saw Lou Gramm (the singer from Foreigner) play this recently… We don’t need no stinkin’ crappy covers, thank you. Lou is still the original.
If somebody wants to do a cover of a song, strive to take it somewhere that it hasn’t been. Put something original into it and don’t try to go down the same path as the original artist.
The fact “Feels Like the First Time” is a classic says something about the original artist. The fact that nobody is going to remember who the hell Daughtry is in 30 years says something too.
