Looking like a golden goddess, R&B songstress Beyonce Knowles showed off her jaw-dropping figure in a teeny weeny yellow string bikini today while vacationing with family and friends in Southern France.
While appear to be sunny and bright for Miss Knowles in Europe, it seems she is being attacked back at home. Openly gay singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright claims he’s sick of her music insisting it’s “formulaic.”
He rants to Spin Magazine: “I’m really sick of Beyonce. All of her songs are formulaic and produced in the basest way. There’s no enlightenment. Like most mainstream pop these days, it’s more of a scientific experiment than an artist experience. But hey, it’s your life, you know.”
To which Beyonce responded: “Who’s Rufus?”

wow….she has really toned up!….but i hate her music too, its so annoying and she always puts out like 5 singles at a time so no matter what radio station you turn to, one of her songs is always being played.

I really agree with Rufus tat her songs are very manufactured in order to be big airplay hits, and not for her to enjoy it.. I loved Dangerously in love, that must be the only song of hers that I ever enjoyed.. The rest is BBllaaah.. And she has serious case of thunderthighs..

She brags on her songs so much, but I always wonder why one would brag about lyrics that are riddled with ebonics and are almost replicas of most of her other songs. But, I won’t say anything bad about her thighs, I think she looks good.
Yea I bought her first solo album bc I liked Crazy in Love but the rest of songs sucked. They were mostly filler songs.

I LOVE that song “Me, Myself and I” and “to the left, to the left” formulaic and contrived? could be, but it’s nice to hear female empowering lyrics instead of “he’s in jail, locked up, so whaaat, so whaaaat?”

i like her body, she is fleshy and meaty but toned at the same time. that’s the type of body sexy men like. i mean men that are good in bed.
Rufus has no reason to sound bitter! He writes his own music and sings about things that really mean something not just singing crap lyrics about Deja Vu, Gucci blah blah blah. To me Beyonce’s music is a big joke….ever since I heard that Star Sign song on her first album I could never take her seriously again. Has anyone else heard it? She only ever has about two songs on each album that are worth listening to the rest I could have made up myself in the shower….thighmegatampon said it right, ‘filler songs’. And I don’t see the fuss about her body, I would absolutely DIE if I had her body. That is just my opinion, but if I woke up looking like that it would be enough to turn me anorexic. Sure some people find that hot, and fair enough, but I don’t.
i actually think she looks hot here for a change (and spinner where do you see her ‘hammies’- i always though ‘hammies’ were hamstrings! so confused) but the covering herself in oil is soo disgusting.
i agree with rufus about her formulaic, boring music but if we pick on beyonce’s style we’d elimate about 75% of the US music market! There are waay worse acts than beyonce out there trying for the same pop/funk/rnb style.

It’s people like you, Stephi, who with your disgusting comments, peer-pressure young girls into starving themselves to death. Beyonce may not have a perfectly athletic or toned body that is “hot” to you, but she is nowhere near fat, which i have seen you describe her in previous comments. I have friends who were once perfectly healthy, waste away with depression, anorexia and bulimia fueled by comments like the ones you’ve made. I don’t know if you realise, but saying things like that are as emotionally damaging, if not not more so than racism. Your comment wasn’t funny at all. I agree…I have never understood how Stephi could love Britney and bash Beyonce. They both hav great dance songs, but nothing of substance. Neither writes their music, and Britney’s legs are just as ugly as Beyonce’s.

I think part of it is that Britney doesn’t take herself nearly as seriously as a supposed “artist” as Beyonce does. It’s easier to like someone when they don’t act like they’re the second coming of Christ talent-wise.
And why the hell does everyone have to like Beyonce’s body or they’re automatically responsible for every eating disorder in America? I also think her body’s gross, but it doesn’t matter to me if others like it, and she seems happy with it, so who cares?
I would never not like Beyonce because of her body or anything and I certainly don’t encourage eating disorders. I’ve had a friend die from anorexia so I’d never do that. But I think its important for people to have pride in their appearance and keep themselves looking good in a healthy way. I’m not going to say that I think Beyonce looks hot when I don’t think she does. Like I said, I realise that a lot of people think she is hot and I can understand that, but personally that’s not my idea of a fantastic body. It’s great that she is comfortable in her own skin, and I respect her for that, but I would not be comfortable if I looked like that. I don’t really see whats wrong with me saying that.

It’s her body type that you hate (As someone built along the lines of Kate Hudson, I couldn’t imagine having an ass and thighs like that either), because she’s not overweight at all. ^Exactly psl. It’s okay not to like that body type or not find Beyonce attractive… but insinuating that she’s fat and following it up with a joke (?) about anorexia was crass. She’s not fat, she’s just obviously not your ideal body type… not everyone has the potential to have skinny legs and fit in a size 2 (or 6)- it’s important to take someone’s frame into account (hips, etc.), among other factors. It’s pretty well known that Beyonce works out quite a bit so the ‘unhealthy’ comment is just bias. Personally, I think Beyonce’s body is okay… her thighs are a bit much for what I find attractive (Shakira and Kate Hudson are the epitome of my ideal body).

Beyonce’s music has sucked for quite some time. Rufus can say that ‘cuz he actually has some musical talent and artistic integrity. So, Beyonce wouldn’t know who is he, because she incapable of knowing real musicianship when she sees it. I’ve always found her pear-shaped physique to be less than attractive - she’s certainly fluctuated in the caboose/thigh area. These days it’s pretty much in check, but I’m still not a fan. In any event, who cares? Aren’t people allowed to be different? Jeez.
Her music sucking or no, she’s still selling gold and platinum so obviously somebody likes it. Maybe y’all are just TOO old to get it!
