CELEBS EXPLAIN THEMSELVES

A slew of stars have taken part in Reader’s Digest’s annual Humor issue (the September issue, out August 26).

Here are some snippets from our fave interviews:

From Stephen Colbert: “I inspire hope in people. I’m tall and thin. I find his wife attractive!” – on being asked how he and Barack Obama are similar.

From Woody Allen: “I don’t want to achieve immortality through my work; I want to achieve immortality through not dying!”

From Debra Messing: “There isn’t a rug I don’t trip on.” – on her slapstick sensibilities.
