Paris Hilton has been sued by a Hollywood film company after failing to do enough publicity for her 2006 straight-to-DVD movie National Lampoon’s Pledge This!
The film’s producers have accused Miss Hilton of not fulfilling her promotional commitments.
As you may recall, Paris took the film to the Cannes Film Festival in May 2005, but soon announced she had boycotted the premiere of the movie after arguing with producers over the amount of nudity in the film.
Said Paris: “I took the part on the assurance I wouldn’t do any nudity. I wanted to do something where I’d be taken seriously, and they added a load of scenes with naked girls. I was so angry I snubbed my own premiere.”
Worldwide Entertainment Group is seeking $75K in damages — likely the amount of cash Pledge This! made at the box office.

But whatever. That aside, she’s trying to make it sound like they broke the contract when it sounds to me like all they said was that *she* didn’t have to be nude. Unless there was a clause saying that *no one* could be naked in the film (and I highly doubt that given the fact that, y’know, it’s NATIONAL FREAKING LAMPOON), then she should have fulfilled her contractual obligations.
That was probably one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I rented it on DVD and spent most of the time skipping through it, it sucked so bad. She pretty much played herself in the movie, and as far as I can remember she was never naked in it….although maybe I fell asleep.
