We haven’t seen John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston together in weeks and now there may be a reason why.
Following a trial separation, the picture perfect couple reportedly decided to split earlier this week, because John is not prepared for the level of commitment that he thinks Jennifer deserves.
Following their split they have spoken to each other on the phone and are trying to remain on good terms.
“There’s been a bit of tension for some time,” says a source close to John. “They initially opted for a break, hoping a trial split might make them stronger. Sadly it doesn’t seem to have worked. John took the decision to end things as he felt he just wasn’t ready for the level of commitment that Jennifer deserved. Contrary to reports, Jen didn’t want to have kids or marry this year, but she did want to set a timetable for their future together. She also wanted him to assure her he would cut down his tours in the future when they did eventually have children.”
Since then, John has fled to Mexico for a solo holiday while Jen has remained in L.A. and has declined to comment.

Well I think we all saw this coming from a mile away. The age difference is big deal and John is not going to settle down with an old lady. It just makes sense.

Poor gilr…Just cant seem to find any man to love her for a kong period of time. Maybe she should go the route Lilo choose and look for a female companion.
If she does, in fact, really want to settle down and start a family then a player like John Mayer is not the right guy. Her problem seems to be that she is fishing in the wrong pond. She needs look for a more stable guy with the same goals. I guess it’s all about timing and meeting someone who is at the same place in their life as you are. Of course I may be completely full of shit and she really likes bad boys and has a relationship death wish–who really knows other than Jen herself??

People date and people break up. Jennifer just unfortunately lives in a bubble where every fucking things she does is analyzed and disected to death. Leave the woman alone. There’s nothing wrong with being single and there’s nothing wrong with wanting commitment either, especially when your biological clock is ticking and your ex is splashed all over the news with his 15th child in 3 years since you broke up.

FYI they were NEVER a couple, despite her ambiguous denials : it was all an act for the media to keep people’s judgements out of her life, his payment ? she supports his tour for a few weeks and plays a part……..he is uncomfortable with it but plays along. Romantic acting is HER JOB, she is simply acting OFF SET. Intentionally confusing people as a smokescree….why ? she gets defense against the negative backlash from her exhusbands twins, and in reality she wants to be alone….. something nobody will allow without calling her names……..when you have had a break up, that last thing you want is another relationship or even a rebound. Vaughn too was acting and found the whole situation ultimately “unfulfilling”. Sculfor is a model for hire, who posed with Diaz, so he would not have negative backlash against his career because of Mayer. All this is being orchestrated, despite the denials, by the people who spin and defend and create careers for a living : the Huvane’s. She will tell the truth when she is married.
I could never see these two as a couple. She needs an older wiser guy who is not in the business. How John gets as much ass as he does continues to shock me - I just don’t find him hot. I did love his song Your Body is a Wonderland when it came out. If he is like his song in bed that could explain a lot.

Jen’s PR people fabricated this romance for both of their benefit - for HER to try to over-ride Brangelina’s twin births and for him to increase tour sales…there was no REAL relationship. Even in the beginning when they were posing by a pool with John’s head on her shoulder, it was all posed and fake. SHe looked uncomfortable. She is a stunning girl and I am wondering why she just can’t be herself. FRom what I hear that is why Brad left. Tired of her PR ploys…

I buy the PR story #19 posted. You’d think they’d stick around a longer just to make the relationship seem more believable. I still like Jennifer but there seems to be a pattern.

Anyone who believes she is already dating someone is a compete sucker. First of all how does it look for “sources” to insinuate that she’s hopping beds already? So whatever publicist decided to put that out there is an idiot. If they are trying to save face for her forget about it! Break ups are humiliating and that’s just they way it is. What none of you obsessed fans “get” is the only thing preventing her from having a real relationship is her deal with the devil. She wanted mega stardom over everything and she got it. She’s put more effort and energy into her Hollywood fantasies than anything else. The problem is it turns every decent guy off. Now having said that I doubt very much someone who talks in bumper stickers makes for very interesting conversation, but that’s a whole new can of worms. Let’s just saying her life is a hot mess.
