SAM.JACK REMEMBERS BERNIE MAC

Bernie Mac was “one of the preeminent comedians of our generation” says Samuel L. Jackson.

The two co-star, along with Isaac Hayes (who also passed away over the weekend), in the upcoming movie Soul Men. Jackson calls Mac’s performance in the film “his finest cinematic acting achievement.”

Due out November 14, Jackson and Mac play estranged soul-singing legends who agree to participate in a reunion performance at the famed Apollo Theater to honour their recently deceased band leader.

Principal photography has already been completed so the film should open on time.

Man, this is just plain sad.
I feel for his family, as they just knew he was going to pull thru.

    Where’s the Oscar talk ,
People were so hyped about an Oscar for the JOKER.
Bernie Mac is way more deserving of one.

I don’t know if any of you were aware, but Issac Hayes is also in this movie. It’s going to be a trip watching what will be both he and Bernie Mac’s performances knowing they died 2 days apart, and their last film appearence was in the same flick.

Anonymous, please don’t turn the thread on it’s ear with sillines. Save that crap for another time ok?

p.s everyone else……I posted before reading Arasto and ONLY 1 both already mentioning that both Hayes and Mac were in the movie together. Sorry about that.

I’m still very shocked by this. It just came out of nowhere and had nothing to do with drugs or anything like that. I don’t know the whole story, but in my opinion it just shouldn’t have happened. He should still be here today. I bet his movie will be popular, it’s nice that he’s left something behind for his family to remember him by.
