But 6-year-old Connie Talbot from ITV1’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ (the UK equivalent to ‘American Idol’), is already being hailed as the “next Charlotte Church.”
Should things continue to go her way, she could earn more than $2 million this year plus a chance to sing in front of the Queen.
Let me know what you think. Personally, I think the only thing cuter than her singing voice is…well….her!

She is so sweet. Her voice is like a little bell. Her pitch was a bit off ut hey…she’s only 6 & her performance was acapello.
NO!! The equivelant of American Idol is the X FACTOR you fucking idiot! This show doesn’t have a U.S equivelant - they are primarily looking for talent to perform at the Royal Variety Performance in front of the Queen & Duke of Edinburgh … Get ur facts right u idiot!
Actually The equivalent of American Idol was ‘Pop Idol’ which is no longer made. The equivalent of ‘Britain’s got Talent’ is, perhaps rather obviously ‘America’s got Talent’. I think ‘whatevr needs to calm down. Its hardly important!
Doodly pip is right. Britain’s Got Talent is the UK version of America’s Got Talent, both created by Simon Cowell.

A] Pop Idol is the X Factor … They just changed the name - same producers, same production company, same T.V channel …. Both formats owned by Simon Fuller.
B] Yes, Americas Got Talent exists but it wasn’t on a short period of time to find someone SPECIFICALLY to perform at the ROYAL VARIETY PERFORMANCE.
Maybe she will end up un-wed and knocked up as well as our sweet little Charolette.

Just to be boring - Pop Idol and X Factor are different shows - Pop Idol was Simon Fuller’s creation, X Factor is Simon Cowell’s. Same channel yes, but different production company and staff. (Although both Simon’s now share profit in each other’s creations).
