It appears that Amy Winehouse wants to sing about something more light-hearted than Rehab and heartbreak and other such heavy topics.
The British soulstress has reportedly penned a song about — you guessed it! — meatballs!
On the yet-to-be-titled track, which will be on her new album, Wino croons: “I can cook, chicken soup, meatballs, a good chicken — jerk and fried.”
Something tells us Grammy gold won’t be knocking on her door come 2009.

Don’t speak so fast. Since we don’t know the context in which the words were written we can’t say what will be. Many a R&B-Blues tune have used food, water, alchohol as a metaphor for love, or selling point for why someone should love them, or what they’ve turned to because of a broken heart. Amy is an extremely talented songwriter and so one shouldn’t discount a subject just because it they aren’t used to more than a+b=c.

add to that, Jazz, Country, Folk and Rock.
