Worrisome news to report: Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman has been injured in a serious car accident in Mississippi.
Cops tell us the “Dark Knight” star was in a one car accident around 11:30 PM last night north of Ruleville, Miss. He was airlifted from the accident scene to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. We’re told alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the wreck.
Freeman’s condition is unknown, but state troopers tell us he was talking at the scene before he was taken to the hospital. The condition of an unidentified female passenger in the car is also unknown.

UPDATE: “All I can say is one word: His condition is serious,” says Kathy Stringer, the hospital rep. She had no information on a possible other passenger from the vehicle.
UPDATE: Freeman’s was reportedly airlifted from the accident scene to the Regional Medical Center after his car went off the highway and “flipped over many times.” According his publicist, Morgan has suffered a broken shoulder and arm and appears to be in a bit of pain.

I wonder if the woman was his wife. They were headed to his house in Charleston, MS. I am about 20 miles from there and reports around here say he is in serious condition at the Med in Memphis. I hope he will be ok, he is a wonderful person who is not only a great actor, but very generous to the community.
Morgan is to acting what God is to Allmighty. I see no curse of the Dark Knight, but as we all know s_ _t happens…and when it hits the fan…it is not equally dispersed. Wish for the best!

THIS IS THE SADDEST CELEB NEWS I’VE EVER HEARD!!! Honestly, I can’t even begin to say how upset I am over this. He seems to be a great person… and he is DEFINITELY a wonderful actor.. and he and my late grandfather look EXACTLY alike, so this is really sad to me in so many weird ways. I will PRAY for him and his family.. FOR REAL!

I worked with Morgan on the film Amistad in 1997, he is down to earth and doesn’t have the ego of most celebrities. I even wrote to him after the movie was done twice and he always wrote me back. I hope he recovers soon, he is one of the greatest modern actors of our time as he is versatile. My prayers are with him for a fast recovery.
This is horrible. My friend was injured pretty badly in a similar fashion but it was not in a car accident. He was in the process of receiving fellatio when he warned the young lady that mount st helens was about to erupt. He politely asked her where he should extract his man lava.
