Enjoying the Sunshine State since departing out of LAX Airport on Friday, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck attended a fundraiser in support of presidential candidate Barack Obama last night alongside BFF Matt Damon and his gorgeous wife, Luciana Barroso, in Miami Beach.
At the A-list event, mum-to-be Garner told reporters: “Ultimately I felt inspired by him and I don’t think anyone in our generation has had that experience.†Matt added: “It comes down to a simple choice for all of us. If you like the direction the country is going, you should vote for McCain. But if you want a candidate who rejects those policies but has a vision, then Obama’s your guy!â€
The A-list parties don’t end here for Barack. A group of backers are planning what’s being billed as a “star-studded fund-raising reception” for the candidate on August 21. The event, called the Black & White Gala for Barack Obama, is being designed to “celebrate America’s landscape of diversity and its many cultures,” with an honorary board that includes Shohreh Aghdashloo, Jessica Alba, Don Cheadle, Khaled Hosseini, Ashley Judd and Lucy Liu.
Invitation-only tickets are $1000 for the general reception and $2300 for VIP ducats.
