Stronger-than-ever couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo – who threw out the first pitch at a Cardinals-Reds game in St. Louis last week – are back in the Big Apple, braving the onslaught of flash-happy paparazzi in New York’s SoHo neighborhood after lunch at Cipriani yesterday.
Vanessa, the MTV VJ who is currently embroiled in a scandal involving disturbing photos of herself, cohort Lindsay Lohan and a very sharp knife, remained mum on the issue but was eager to yap about her renewed contract as spokesmodel for junior clothing chain Bongo.
“I’m truly thrilled,” she squeeled before making her way to a chauffeur car.
Being the consummate supportive boyfriend that he is, Nick simply sat there and looked pretty.

I don’t really mind her too much. She’s not exactly beautiful and is sort of boring but as long as she treats Nick right that’s all that matters. That sounds so corny but he seemed so heartbroken when he and Jess were divorced that I think he deserves a good girl. This scandal must have him shaking his head though, he seems to try and avoid anything like that.
