Christian Bale isn’t letting a little family squabble get in the way of the monsterous promotional campaign that is Batman. The caped crusader was snapped with wife Sibi Blazic at the Coliseum Cinema in Barcelona, Spain for the opening of The Dark Knight on Wednesday.
Bale has refuted the assault charges that kept him at a police station for four hours yesterday and is not due back in court in England until September.

I think this whole assault think is pure bullshit. His mother and sister want money and have created this whole thing!
I agree with Sandy. I do realize that when we like a celebrity we tend to put them on a pedestal but I think that my gut instinct with Bale is that there is more to this than what we know.
Agree with both of the above. Money fucks things up with people.
He and his wife look like siblings
He needs a big friggin dose of vallium.
WHY DOES HE NEED A BIG DOSE OF VALIUM.. HE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING
WRONG. HE ONLY HAS TWO MORE STOPS THAN HE IS DONE WITH THE
OH MY GOD HEATH LEDGER.. GIVE HIM THE OSCAR FOR THE DARK KNIGHT
ALREADY … SINCE THE LOSER COULDN’T GET IT FOR BROKE BACK
MOUNTAIN.. THE SAME THING IS GOING TO HAPPEN.. LOSER HEATH..!!
Laurie Smith: First off you idiot, my comment was a joke, as it seems you are too stupid to have figured out. And secondly Christian was never going to win an Oscar for playing Batman anyway. That simply would never happen, even if Heath had not died. The Oscars never give acting awards to people in big budget action movies. And your comments about Heath simply show your misplaced homophobia. Heath was straight, he simply played a gay man in a movie. Your obviously can’t tell the difference, as your bigoted hate shows thru just fine.
I think all of this is bullshit as well. He doesn’t seem like the type of person to do what he is being accused of and it seems very convenient that the allegations are coming out now, when promotion for Batman is huge and Christian Bale is everywhere. If this had happened in six months when the hype around the movie had died down, this wouldn’t be nearly as big news as it is now.
^Apparently, you can get arrested for yelling (which can classify as assault) in the UK. It was just a shouting match with his family. So, I can still love the Bale :o).
It was a “breach of the peace” in legal terms. If I was staying at the Dorchester and heard this kind of ruckus going on I too may have reported it for fear that it might escalate into violence, depending on the severity of the screaming of course..
Neither he, nor his mother, sister will have wanted this to be made public but they were not fighting in private and chose to wash their dirty laundry in public. I wouldn’t put up with this sort of scene outside of my house let alone if i was a guest in a 5 star hotel.
Its against the law here in my state to even cuss in public in front of women & children.
Its an old law, though still on the books. And at times it is inforced. With a fine.
Just keep that in mind
Though he isnt denying that he “shoved” his mother, is he? If he did shove her and this was done in public, where are the wittnesses?
Im not taking up for his family, nor am I bashing him.
*Though he just has this arogence about him that it wouldnt suprise me*
