Mariah Carey was all smiles after filiming an appearance on MTV’s Total Request Live today in New York City.
Mimi appeared to still be glowing in her post-nuptial bliss with actor/comedian Nick Cannon.
The multi-octave songbird was on hand to promote her upcoming performance at the fifth annual Fashion Rocks concert. Mariah joins the likes of Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Rihanna, Keith Urban, Chris Brown, Fergie and Lil Wayne as they celebrate the relationship between music and fashion.
The event will be held September 5 at Radio City Music Hall, and will air in a two-hour special on CBS the following night. Proceeds will benefit Stand Up to Cancer, a program established by the Entertainment Industry Foundation to raise money for cancer research.

She was looking ok for a while there, but it looks as though she’s back to her trashtastic outfits. This is too tight and too tacky…why she has to dress like this is beyond me. She’s got a great voice, she doesn’t need to rely on sluttiness to sell records and nobody wants to see a woman her age walking around like this anyway. Her body looks great for her age, but not stuffed into stripper clothes like this. They make her look bigger than she actually is.
Ok, I’m 29 and wouldn’t wear that ensemble as I’d feel it’s too young for me. She’s almost 40, what is her deal? Anwyay, regarding Fashion Rocks….are these not the same performers that were on last year? It seems like I just saw them all perform at this show.
