Forbes’ magazine has just released its new best-paid actor list, covering June 1, 2007 to June 1, 2008.
So, who came out on top? Will Smith, banking an estimated $80 million over the course of the year. Often called the hardest-working man in Hollywood, Big Willy has proved that no matter the genre, he can deliver an audience.
Johnny Depp and Eddie Murphy came in second with a annual movie paycheck of $72 million and $55 million, respectively.
Others rounding out the top 10: Mike Meyers, Leonardo DiCaprio, Bruce Willis, Ben Stiller, Nicolas Cage, Will Ferrell, and Adam Sandler.
And it should be noted that men are still making more than women. Collectively, the big screen’s leading men took home an estimated $487 million in the past year compared with the leading ladies’ haul of $244.5 million.

I love Will. I think he’s a great actor who pulls off comedy, action and drama perfectly. I’m not surprised he made so much this year, both I Am Legend and Hancock have been huge movies for him. I’m not a fan of Eddie Murphy at all though.
I love Will. He seems like such a good guy. It’s disturbing to me though that he jumped into the black hole that is $cientology.
