Perhaps you can blame Brooke Hogan for Hillary Clinton’s early exit from the presidential race.
Here’s what Hulk Hogan’s daughter said when asked about politics on her reality show Brooke Knows Best:
“You know what? I am actually not that much into voting. I think it’s kinda crazy that a woman is running because I think that women deal with a lot of emotions and menopause and PMS and stuff. Like, I’m so moody all the time, I know I couldn’t be able to run a country, ‘cause I’d be crying one day and yelling at people the next day, ya know?”
Like, yeah, we totally get it, right?

Harley, based on that logic you would think that the US economy would be better since it is run by the “logical” Bush administration. Women don’t NEED to be president, like men don’t NEED to be president either. However, both sexes should be given the chance to run for president based on their merits and not automatically dismissed because of something they can not change.

In researching Hillary Clinton over the last several months, I’ve found both valid and invalid reasons why she shouldn’t be president. Some argue that she does not have the ability to make a decision under pressure - this is perhaps a reasonable objection to her nomination. Others (admittedly non-respectable radical Web sites) suggest that her going through menopause would cause her to bring about the next world war. Regardless, Hillary is being dismissed as being too emotional to fill the role of the American presidency. If she acts like a man, she would be too masculine. If she acts like a woman, she would be too feminine. Essentially, women are in a lose-lose situation when it comes to being public political figures.
And we do nothing, because we assume that nothing is standing in the way of women being elected to the presidency. Because women have the right to vote, because women have the right to run, we assume that anything standing in the way of their winning is a personality flaw, rather than a societal flaw.
Until we are able to acknowledge that there is still a prejudice that prohibits us from electing a woman, that we still believe having emotions is equivalent with the inability to lead a country (and that any female candidate will inevitably be more emotional than any male candidate), this country will not be ready for a woman president. Until we can recognize the humanity (not just the womanhood) of a candidate, that spot behind Stanton, Mott and Anthony will remain as empty as the assurance that a woman has the same chance of winning the presidency as a man.

Here is another fact - take a look at countries that women lead and this will tell you what will result in the United States if a woman is elected President. Germany, Australia, Indonesia, and Liberia are all lists of countries that have seen female leadership and check out those places - they su-uck.

Wow. I don’t even know what to say. Just because some women let their emotions run their lives does not mean all women do. Some women choose to be strippers or whore themselves out for $$ because it is easy. Does that mean all women choose the easy route? Uhm… no. Please don’t assume you know me. What are the sources of your “fact” that the poor will stay poor under Democratic leadership — like the poor stayed poor under FDR, but they had a lavish existence under Hoover. Please, don’t be so transparent. I don’t care if the leadership wants to call itself Democratic or Republic or whatever — all I want is GOOD leadership, that has been lacking under the current “Republican” leadership. Where is this fiscal responsibility that the Republicans are known for as billions are being spent on a war that basically is being outsourced to Bush’s “friends.”
I don’t mind disagreeing with someone as long as they can back up their claim. People need to learn how to have intelligent conversations without “personal attacks” — calling me poor doesn’t affect me because I know I am not. It seems you think crying is the only emotion there is. How about anger and revenge which are very typical masculine emotions. Maybe men don’t show openly their emotions, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have them or that emotions (revengefullness etc), don’t affect on men’s behaviour and decisions on politics and elsewhere.
Obviously you think showing empathy and compassion, like women often do, is weakness.
I think there are many woman in history and present who can be as ruthless, non-emotional and cold as men when needed. Also, I’m sure everyone knows women like that.
