With the harsh glare of the spotlight being constantly glared on her, Kate Hudson blew off some steam yesterday by playing a game of tennis with a friend and her instructor on a private tennis court in Brentwood, CA.
And while son Ryder and beau Lance Armstong were nowhere in sight, the two men in Kate’s life are clearly getting along just fine. In fact, Ryder has decided that he wants to chop off his long hair so he can look like mom’s boyfriend-of-the-moment.
The 4-year-old always wanted to be exactly like his dad, rocker Chris Robinson, so he never let Kate cut his hair, a friend close to Kate tells the upcoming issue of Star magazine. “But now that Lance is in the picture, Ryder wants Kate to lop off his locks so he can be as cool as Lance.â€
While we agree that the kid desperately needs a haircut (let’s face it — he looks like a little girl), given Kate’s track record, we question whether it’s such a great idea for little Ryder to get too close to Uncle Lance. He could be out of the picture tomorrow, replaced by yet another celebrity bachelor. And we can’t help but wonder how his dad feels about this.

That has got to suck for Chris Robinson! Lance is a player and so is Kate and I wouldn’t expect this to last too long.

I dunno…but I think they can make it work more long term then short term. Lance is an American Icon and I think both Kate and family are into that. He is no has been rocker.

I would not be impressed if I was Chris. Kate needs to be a little more careful who she introduces into Ryder’s life. He met Owen and Dax and probably loved them and now those relationships are long over. Until they’ve been going out for a while and she’s feeling sure about it, she shouldn’t even introduce them to Ryder…it will just get too confusing for him.
