After spending two romantic weeks together in The Bahamas, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon topped off their vacation with a trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
After enjoying the day at the Disney theme parks, the couple requested a meet-and-greet with the most famous couple at all of Walt Disney World — Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The two power couples posed for photographs at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Walt Disney World’s flagship resort. Mr. and Mrs. Carey are staying at the romance-laden, Victorian-themed hotel, which features gabled roofs and Victorian balustrades typical of the famed Florida beach resorts of the 19th century.
During the meeting with Mickey and Minnie, Mimi was decked out in true Disney fashion — with Tinker Bell earrings and a designer t-shirt that depicted Mickey and Minnie in a loving smooch.
While R&R — in this case romance and relaxation — were at the top of their Disney wish list, the affectionate couple set out to enjoy a number of the themed thrill attractions at Walt Disney World Resort during their first day, including: the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (a high-speed, indoor roller coaster that features the music of the rock group Aerosmith); Space Mountain (the longtime favourite indoor roller coaster at the Magic Kingdom park — which Nick said is his favourite Walt Disney World attraction); and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (which Mariah said is her favourite Walt Disney World attraction — the Tower of Terror takes guests in an elevator to the top of a 13-story, haunted hotel before plunging them to the basement faster than the speed of gravity).
After meeting Mickey and Minnie at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa during the early-evening hours, the cheery newlyweds planned to top off their evening in fairy tale-fashion, by taking in the fireworks show — entitled “Wishes” — that takes place in the Magic Kingdom high above the iconic Cinderella Castle.
