Looks like Ashlee Simpson is following in the steps of Jamie Lynn Spears by tending to some responsibilities during her pregnancy.
While 17-year-old Jamie Lynn managed to get her GED while knocked up, her lip-syncing counterpart just passed her driver’s test!
Joined by her tattooed hubby Pete Wentz, the ever-growing mom-to-be was spotted throwing her arms up in victory following her exhuastive exam at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Hollywood.
Afterwards, California’s latest licensed driver went to celebrate her success at Cafe Med before driving off in Pete’s dinky little Volkswagen Jetta.

What is so exhuasting about a driving exam??? Its a car, it has 4 wheels and a steering wheel and you drive it on streets JEEZ!! It is not brain surgery!
So she never had her license before this? Wow…I find that surprising. For someone who probably had to drive around to lot sof auditions and rehersals before she was famous, it must have been hard. She owes her parents a lot! I remember taking my exam and it was pretty stressful, I was excited when I got mine and obviously Ashlee isn’t a very good driver so this is a big deal for her.
…then why was she driving a car in her reality show she had on mtv awhile back? did she just seriously get it and didnt have it ever before? or did she somehow lose it and/or have to get a new one for california specifically… ?

thats good she got her license now, so she can drive herself and her baby around, and not have to rely on her famiyl or friends. Im proud of her and excited for her and Pete and their new baby!
confused - I thought that exactly! She drove around everywhere in the show. Maybe she had a secret DUI, hahaha.
Okay, confused as many of you are. Yes, Ashlee use to drive all the time during her reality show. Maybe she still had a Texas license then??
And Pete with a Jetta?? Nothing wrong with that, it’s cool…but what happened to his Mercedes S600? And biggest question of all…WHY IS THE LICENSE PLATE FROM MINNESOTA???
