In the midst of her recent foot-in-mouth controversy, Katherine Heigl has sought the comfort of her mother.
The ungrateful Grey’s Anatomy actress hooked up with her mother Nancy yesterday for lunch in Beverly Hills.
After an hour of girl talk between endless glasses of wine, the mother-daughter duo parted ways as Katherine later met up with hubby Josh Kelley and some friends at Marina Del Rey for some sailing.
Meanwhile, rumours are buzzing that show creator Shonda Rhimes really is thinking of killing off Izzie!!
“It’s not good there,” a source tells me of the Grey’s Anatomy set. “Shonda is pissed. They’re thinking of killing her off. They want Izzie dead.”
While a dead Izzie may never happen, it would be an ironic twist, because industry insiders have long speculated that Heigl wants to ditch the show.
Looks like Katherine may finally get what she’s clearly longed after for months — an anticlimactic film career destined to fizzle out. (Let’s face it — there’s always a new Julia Roberts around the corner.)

I agree Arasto! She made a huge mistake and is going to pay for it big time! She is not even a good actress IMO.
I used to like this bitch, but now I can’t stand her!!! Gosh her head has gotten too big for her and she needs to go away.
As much as I dislike her, I think that woman can dress her butt off when she wants to. She sometimes puts me in the mind of Grace Kelly from time to time. She can get that oldschool glamour on better than most just like Nicole Kidman.

It’s just business folks–Ms. Heigl feels that she can have a lnog term successful film career on the box office strength of her recent films; therefore she wants out of her TV contract for a show that will be hot for maybe two more years–that’s good business is it not??? However, she may be very wrong in her projections and the film thing may go nowhere but down the tube. that’s the chance they all take. I don’t like her much as an actress but I can see where she is coming from on this deal.
Sorry Arasto, I don’t know what she did to piss you off but the combo of Knocked Up and 27 Dresses is a good enough track record for Hollywood to take a chance on her. As for being ungrateful, why is it when a strong woman speaks her mind, you can call her a bitch and an ingrate but if a guy does it, he’s just stating his mind? In the end, she doesn’t really give a shit about what some dumbass blogger has to say, especially when he’s just a low-rent Perez. Yikes, that’s a total insult. Nobody deserves that.

If she does want to go - good luck to her. I certainly wont watch Grey’s without her in it. Given she is on what $6 million a movie which is more than what she ears for an entire year of Grey’s I dont think she is gonna be worrying too much about not eating out. I am sure she knows its a risk going to movies - but if thats what she wants to try then why not. If she was getting decent storylines on Grey’s she would have a good reason to stay..but when you win an Emmy, and have huge box office and you end up with George / Izzie and rescuing a deer who can blame her for wanting out. She was right to speak out about it and only agreeing with what the press have said all year.

Did anyone watch GA last season? They changed Izzie from a flawed but likeable character into an unlikeable, screechy, neurotic mess. All season I felt that they were deliberately sabotaging her character. When the news broke that she was passing on submitting an Emmy bid for her role, I was not one bit surprised. Shonda is just pissed that Heigel essentially called her on her character’s shitty story arc by making that comment to the press about the pass. Most of this bullshit is just plain old professional jealousy. GA’s ratings are poor, it has 2 seasons left at best. The show at this point is just hampering Heigel’s career and Shonda fucking knows it.

She should consider herself extremely lucky to have been on such a successful show and if she doesn’t feel it’s good enough for her she should leave.
