Jessica Simpson was spotted arriving in Lake Tahoe on Friday where she’s set to join beau Tony Romo at the American Century Championship Celebrity Golf Tournament.
After spending the entire week celebrating her birthday with friends and family in L.A., the 28-year-old country bumpkin and her knocked up sister Ashlee headed north for a little R&R.

I don’t know one thing about the country western scene, so I have a question: Is there such a thing as credability and being a “true” country star? To always love country, grow up country, move to Nashwille and struggle to make it as a singer songwriter while working in bars (yes I’ve seen too many movies) and then, after many hard years, have a well deserved breakthrough??? Or is it just as good to just be famous from a reality show, have made a couple of albums in meaningless pop music, and then what the hell, let’s do a country album? Get a country style makeover and just suddenly be all country? Or does none of this mean anything because it’s not the country audience that will buy this record anyway?

Her voice seems more suited for country, but it’s a bit strange that she is just falling into the country scene now.. seeing as how her pop scene didn’t do that much for her.
If she really, truly likes singing and being country, then that’s fine.. but maybe she should have done that a few flopped albums ago.
One thing that’s for sure.. I bet you Carrie Underwood is pissed right the hell off! haha :p Jessica was linked to her man, and now to her type of music. Shit, what else has Carrie done that Jessica will take a stab at?
She looks very blowsy at the moment but still beautiful, like an unfettered hydrangea.
She’s put on some weight but its happy in love weight I guess.

people really need to stop hating on her. she has an amazing talent and she’s not half as bad as all of those other hollywood idiots (ie nicole richie, paris hilton, etc) the only reason she waited this long to do a country album is because of her label. this is what she loves and what makes her happy. what gives anyone else a right to judge her just because she’s in the public eye?

the judging is about her talent (lack of) mostly and the reason is beabuse she leaves out of selling her “lack of” talent to the people. She can keep trying the singing…I would never ever buy a song she sings.
She is pretty, and has great boobs, that is mostly the only thing she does for human kind.
I think she’s been looking really gorgeous lately. She kind of lost her looks for a while there, but I think getting back into her career again she’s lost a bit of weight and spent a little more time making herself look pretty. She looks really beautiful in her video and I think she looks nice here as well.
