WORST DUET EVER

We may all know Avril Lavigne as a pseudo punk princess, but ever since saying ‘I Do’ to Sum 41’s Deryck Whibley, our little Sk8rgirl has chilled out a bit. Her new remix of ‘Girlfriend’ even has her exploring the world of hip hop.
Now it appears as if Avril is attempting to reach out even further. Over the past two days, the Canadian chanteuse has been spotted in and around Las Vegas - most recently accompanied by Colombian songbird Shakira. While the hip-shaking international superstar has taken a hiatus from music in order to take a stab at acting, a duet with Avril may be in the works.
Stay tuned on any developments. And keep your fingers crossed that this sure-to-be sales flop never ever happens.

No Shakira, no!!! Duet with Avril? The horror (seriously wtf). As for the acting, I can see it… she used to star in a Latin soap opera when she was a teenager, so it’s not that surprising. Not that soap actors are ever good (especially latin ones… telenovellas = trash)…

Well this duet should be about the same level of quality as Tara Reid acting. I’m really looking forward to it, and more duets of this nature in future.

I love how you all can be like ‘Awww it’s shit, it’s going to suck’ before you’ve even heard it.
I honestly didn’t think a Shakira and Beyonce duet would be good, but I actually liked the one they did. I am sure if Avril and Shakira do a duet that it will sound decent, if not good.

Shakira has looked different for a while in my opinion. But it’s hard to tell by this photo because she’s pulling a funny expression. I don’t know about this duet….but I guess I can’t really judge it until I hear it. I thought Beautiful Liar was pretty good so you never know.

I thought Beautiful Liar was lame. And I think Avril’s music is shit (all of it)… so I really don’t think anything good will come of the duet. Anyway… I like Shakira better with her wild curly hair, this straight style doesn’t suit her babyface- I also strongly doubt she’s gotten anything done, she looks like she always has (minus the dark, thicker brows and straight hair).

Shaki definitely should keep her hair big and curly and a lighter color. This doesn’t do anything for her, she looks like a pageant queen, which is never a compiment frorm my side!!
Avril can just crawl under a rock and die. Period. Singing and her name should never be mentioned in the same sentence, just like food next to Nicole Richie is unacceptable.
