This just in: Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook have reportedly reached a settlement in their nasty divorce trial.
After a night of intense negotiations, the two reached a settlement this morning at 6:15 AM.
Details of the deal are expected to be revealed in court later in the day.

UPDATE: Christie will retain sole custody of her children after reaching a settlement in her ugly divorce battle.
The supermodel will keep all 18 properties in the Hamptons that were being disputed and has also agreed to pay him $2.1 million.
“I am very happy with the settlement,” Christie told Access Hollywood as she entered court Thursday. “Didn’t sleep a wink. It’s a great day.”

I am happy for both of them actually. Obviously it was a bad marriage from the beginning and they were able to resolve it quickly.

She seemed very interested in the attention the divorce was bringing her so I am not a fan of hers anymore. Actually…never was!

i have to disagree with post number 3.
i dont think she wanted this humilty (sp) to be in the public eye at all.
she and us even, found out in the divorce hearing, that back in the 80’s he was a cocaine dealer…..and he did time……shocking revelations come out when you get a divorce.
i guess always run a background check on the person who is sleeping with you, because no matter how much you “think you know them” in reality you dont

I don’t think the trial is to prove she did not know who this guy is,
as much as to set up the ground of who she is in spite of the scum of a man he was.
That’s how you make a point for what do you deserve for putting up with a scum of a husband for years.
How do you behaved and how did he behaved is what is being measured to then determine who deserves what.
Besides the ovbious grounds for missbehaivior in a marriage.
After all Marriage is a contract, if one of the parties is in desagreement is entitled to show why her part of the contract sucks. He could not prove anything against her.
What people think is accesory to the case: in this case people thinking that she deserves to be punished in adition to putting up with an asshole.

IT IS GREAT THAT PETER COOK SAID THAT “ALL HE WANTS TO DO IS UNWIND” …AND THAT
IS WHEN THE PAPS TOLD HIM TO ” ENJOY THE REST OF YOUR LIFE..” HOPE THAT IS TRUE
AND THAT HE IS LIVING IN A HOUSE..AND THAT HE IS GLAD IT IS ALL OVER.. TIME TO MOVE ON TO ANOTHER TRIAL OF THE DECADE..

Yes she definately got the best end of the deal, but in my opinion she should have. Peter made a fool out of himself and his family and in years to come her children are going to have to hear about his dirty habits. There’s defiantely nothing wrong with a bit of porn, but thousands of dollars a month is going too far. I really admire how she’s handled herself through all this, very classy.
