OK! SHOWS MCCONAUGHEY THE MONEY!

OK! magazine - the tabloid that’s proudly displaying the coveted Jamie-Lynn Spears baby photos today — will reportedly shell out $3 million to Matthew McConaughey for the first pics of little baby Levi, born Monday night.

The fee will include baby’s first Christmas and first dibs on any possibly wedding shots — should they marry, of course.

That got us thinking - what do you think of celebs selling photogs?

The more the merrier? Should the money go to charity? Or do kids who never asked to be famous in the first place deserve some privacy?

I think its a good idea to sell the photos (they will be found anyways) and give the money to a charity.

i think (IMHO) selling pictures of your kids, is like pimping them out in a strange way.
they (parents) will bitch about privacy in the future, then why in the hell did you pimp them out when they were just babies?
just goes to show you that many of celebrities are dumb as shit

Privacy for your childern should be the number one concern in my opinion. Giving to charity is obviously good but not at the price it requires.

The more the merrier! They are in the business of pimping themselves out so I dont see anything wrong with it.

I say get as much as you can and if you want to give to charity all the better. Privacy is not going work these days.

privacy does work these days, only if that is truly want you want.
many of top name people have tons of it, it is because they don’t subject themselves around it, their family and private life is more important to them then the lights of photographers etc.
i will never condone selling pictures of “my” child to the public.
IMHO, its just not the right and correct thing to do as a parent.

the razzi will do what it takes to get the money shot these days, selling them gives them some privacy. They aren’t being chased the Tom and Katie. They can do what they want with the money a collage fund or charity, whatever floats their boat. More power to them!!!

^^^that was supposed to say like Tom and Katie. When Suri was born razzi were taking pictures of Suri in their living room laying on a chair!

What’s the diff? Better that than the paps taking the pictures first and selling the photos to trash websites and tabloids….this way the parents have control, not the paps.

the way SJP and Gwyneth did it is best. They let the paps take pics not hiding…..and everyone got the pics…no bidding wars. The whole “sell pictures of your kids” thing disgusts me…..and the money that is paid is truly nauseating. You know J.Lo and Marc didn’t give any of that 6 mil to charity.

I use to think it was the parents right to sell their newborn baby pictures. But now… I think its tacky. These people surely are not hurting for money. And they cry all the time about the paps going to far and taking pictures of their kids. But as soon as one of the pap mags throw a couple of bucks at them. They sell their kids out or should I say pimp them out. Not all of the hollywood moms and dads are pimping their kids pictures. (ie Halle B, Jessica A) I am talking about the ones who are.

I think it comes down to an ego thing with these people. The more money you get for you kids pics the better (in thier warped minds) they are. As for the parents who give the money to charity, if they cared that much why not just give a donation? They write it off on their taxes so what are they really giving?

I don’t see the problem with photos being sold to magazines. If the celebrity is really in demand the paps will find someway to get the photos anyhow, so at least by doing this the celebrity has just a little control over what gets printed. I think it’s great if the money can be given to charity, because then at least someone less fortunate can benefit from the madness that is celebrity culture.

I think if celebs really tried, they can keep their kids from being photographed. For example, has anyone seen pics of Julia Roberts’ baby (after the twins)?
